Child Care Subsidy

Child Care Subsidy

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps Camden families save on child care by reducing fees automatically. To access CCS, update your details and complete the Subsidy Assessment through your Centrelink account on MyGov.

For enrolment at Blinky Belle, have your Customer Reference Number (CRN) ready so we can apply your subsidy and help make quality child care more affordable.

Rebates & Benefits

Camden families may also qualify for Additional Child Care Subsidy and rebates from the State and Federal governments. Options include support for grandparents, special needs, and registered or informal care arrangements.

To check your eligibility for these programs, it’s best to contact the Family Assistance Office. They can guide you through benefits tailored to your family’s needs, helping make child care more accessible.

Priority Of Access

Priority of Access

Blinky Belle Preschool in Camden follows the Australian Government’s Priority of Access Guidelines for child care.

When places are limited or a waitlist applies, priority is given to children most in need, including those at risk and families meeting work or study requirements. These priorities are only used when necessary, ensuring fair access to our early education services.

Health & Safety

At Blinky Belle Preschool, staff will contact your child’s Authorised Person or Emergency Contact if your child shows signs of illness or develops a temperature of 38 degrees or higher. For contagious illnesses, we follow exclusion periods and require medical clearance before your child returns.

In emergencies, or if immediate collection isn’t possible, an ambulance may be called. Any medication, including paracetamol for high fevers, is only given with your permission and as part of your child’s care plan.

Health & Safety
Medications

Medications

For safety, all medications must be listed on your child’s enrolment form and signed by an Authorised Person. Medications need to have your child’s name, dosage, and details clearly on the pharmacist’s label, and should be handed to staff on arrival for secure storage.

Blinky Belle does not give any non-prescribed medicine except for approved paracetamol when a child’s temperature reaches 38 degrees or higher—this requires enrolment form consent.

Their First Day

We encourage Camden families to visit Blinky Belle Preschool before your child’s first day to help everyone feel comfortable and settled. On your child’s first morning, our welcoming staff will greet you, guide you to their room, and help get them started.

Take a few extra minutes to sign in and organise belongings. When leaving, reassure your child about when you’ll return, and let them bring a comfort item like a teddy or blanket. We’ll call you with updates during the day, and you’re always welcome to contact us with any questions.

Their First Day
Day-to-Day

Day-to-Day

At Blinky Belle Preschool, your child’s safety is our top priority. Photo ID is required for Authorised or Emergency Contacts on their first pick-up, and all further sign-in and sign-out is completed electronically by mobile and PIN.

Please arrive by closing time to avoid late fees, as staff are charged $5 per minute per child for overtime—this isn’t covered by the Child Care Subsidy. For toilet training and active play, dress your child in practical, comfortable clothing that’s easy for them to manage and okay to get messy.
